Thanks for your great review. What nice code purchases.
I have to admit, when I first saw those boots, I didn't even know what to think. UGGs? I still don't know what they are. In Hawaii you don't see many people in boots and I can guarantee you that no one you see on the beaches here will be wearing any boots, let alone boots like those.
But I must say that after seeing a picture of Taffy's doll with these boots on, I ordered them. Guess what? I love them! They are beautiful! One of my all time favorite code "surprises".
However, I can assure you that in no manner, shape or form will you ever find our dolls at the beach in them. The boots are far too nice for the beach. What was AG thinking? They were definitely not making them for use in Hawaii with our ever so luxurious white Hawaiian sand. Beach boots? Not!!!!!

My mother and brother came to visit me in Montreal this weekend, and brought with them 2 out of my 3 code orders! yay!
I got the beach boots; I had seen them in person in AGPC, they're really nice. Great replicas of UGGs. Very soft inside, pretty colour on the outside. I think my AGT is going to wear them with several of her outfits. Not really worth paying $10 plus shipping, but with the code, they were worth it! "A" with the code.
The other item my mom brought were Kit's pajamas! I LOVE them! The fabric is so nice and it's really well made. I love the headband and slippers it comes with. I can't wait to dress Kit in them! I like them, so another "A".
The third item I coded was Kit's birthday outfit, but that was left back in MI so I'm saving it as a treat to myself when I'm done with the school year and go home in early May.
Unfortunately I didn't bring the pjs and boots back from the hotel with me, as I had too much to carry this evening, but I'll get them tomorrow so my girls can try them on tomorrow night!
I am starting to feel slightly depressed that I didn't code more items, like Kit's accessories, winter coat, and beret. But I suppose it's for the best (financially speaking). Crossing my fingers for some more code deals in a few months.

I thought the same thing when those boots came out. Beach boots? No way! They would be filthy. Someone posted that the boot look was very popular in California.

I just came back from a very LONG and rainy (but mostly fun) day out around town, and my "girls" are finally trying on the purchases!
Like some of you have said, the beach boots are even better than I thought they'd be! They fit my pre-Mattel Arabella really well (some shoes haven't) and they look adorable on her! She's currently wearing them with the licorice best friend outfit - but I think they're versatile and could go with basically any outfit! Also, don't forget to roll them down a bit on the top to show some of the sherpa lining, they're the cutest that way!
BTW: "beach" boots = UGGs are made in Australia (hence the sheepskin lining) and were originally made popular there by surfers. Then, somehow the trend spread to LA about 2 summers ago (not for surfing, but for wearing about town by mini-skirt clad, tanned girls-about-town like Nicole Ritchie). Apparently they're now "out" of style in LA but they're still going strong here in Montreal because they're so WARM. I just had to get them for my doll because they were the must-have trend this year. Now I'll always remember that!
BTW if I were in Hawaii I admit I would much rather have bare feet! perhaps UGGs would be more useful in MI, where we have stones lining many beaches!
As for Kit, she seems pleased to be in her pajamas! I still don't know about the style, it's different, but they're really cute! I just love blue on her! The whole outfit seems so comfy! I love the slippers- they're very detailed and remind me of Turkish or Italian slippers. The headband was slightly disappointing as it was only a red ribbon, but overall the rest is so cute that didn't matter. My goal is to someday get her bed when I have more room and more $! I'm looking forward to seeing her birthday outfit.

Thanks for the info about UGGS. I didn't realize they were Australian! Neat! I'm ashamed to admit that I have never seen anyone in Hawaii wearing them. I guess its a regional trend. Our Hawaiian surfers wearing UGGS? I think they'd get laughed off the beach .
